The TF-640 is a flexible tool grinding machine for the production and resharpening of tools with small and medium diameters. Its compact footprint delivers optimal floor-space utilization, while a wide range of loading systems and efficiency options allow the platform to be configured for current and future production needs — from single-shift job shops to high-mix automated cells. An integrated Laser Contour Check option adds non-contact, high-accuracy in-machine measurement for unmanned production.

- Belt-driven spindle with two spindle ends, equipped with up to 6.2 grinding wheels and a peak power of approximately 9.5 kW — enabling both complex and common tool geometries to be produced economically in medium batch sizes (automation option required)
- Laser Contour Check option — an intelligent, non-contact measuring system integrated directly into the machine for highly accurate measurement of tool parameters on cylindrical tools
- Torque increase option (with grinding wheel changer) — increases torque and removal rate at the spindle by approximately 60% at a maximum speed of 8,100 rpm, enabling cutting of tools up to approximately 26 mm diameter
- Automatic grinding wheel changer (option) — compact and flexible, with capacity for up to 6 grinding wheel packs of 3 wheels each; maximum grinding wheel diameter 160.5 mm; coolant supply and wheel set form a single unit for safe changeover and optimum cooling
- Robot loader automation option — improves workpiece accessibility for special applications, with automatic teaching for short setup times; loads up to approximately 7,900 workpieces depending on type; maximum workpiece weight 5.4 kg, maximum workpiece diameter 130 mm
- Top loader automation option — space-saving, cost-effective, integrated directly into the machine envelope, with automatic teaching and up to approximately 515 tool storage positions
